Teddi(IS) & Julia(DE) on MSN, Eric Khoo(MY) on Skype. Teddi asked me about some info to visit KLCC in Kuala Lumpur, and I dropped those questions that I couldn't answer to Eric. Furthermore, when they asked Eric about the recommending route toward Java, Indonesia, he came out with the advice to go through Singapore, which then, might need some support from local as well.
Jeez! How could the world become sooooo tiny and interesting??
I gave the couple Philip's mobile number, and promised them to inform Philip(SG) first tomorrow morning. When needed, he could be a great help for Teddi & Julia's "all of a sudden" visit. As for me, I really would like to know that they DO go to Singapore, meeting Philip, and even have some great chat about "Wendy" they've known. :)
So kind as Eric, he offered several numbers of friends in Indonesia to let them call when emergency. Plus, he told them how and to whom to cry for help when they're in trouble. All these make even me feel so secure, not to mention them!

He's Coming to TW
The dates have been set, 23-27 June, Fri-Tue. He's so quick, and he even has booked the flight already. "My flight'll be there around 7 PM." said Philip. How could he be so energetic?
For the first time, I'm completly spoiled, and it's never too exaggerate to say that I was so soaked by his love @\o/@ Sometimes, I can't help wondering "What's going on? What have I done? How dare I accept all these which I don't deserve at all?"
However, his dream does moved me:
Staying at a house with happy family, with cute grandchildren running about and coming occationally to say "I love you gong gong," with several dogs enjoy being patting and rubbing under the sunshine, and so on.....
Are these, the answer to happiness?

It's amazing- the postcard I sent them just delivered yesterday, and I met them online today. Should I call this coincidence? Or should I say that we're connected by heart as before somehow?
One thing I know for sure, deeply- I seriously miss those lovely Pinkies a lot.
On the other hand, I could finally calmly say that Teddi and Julia's happiness no longer irritated me that much. Their world travle might, but their relationship wouldn't, for I got Philip now :)

The Night with Friendship Fragrance
Last Saturday night, I finally asked some uni girl friends out for some drinks. It's been almost a year for us to not see the others. I guess you can imagine how high we were at that time!!
For so long a time, I couln't find this kind of friend who could talk about literature, movies, music, lifes, plans, and so on together at the same time. Our topic was sooooo endless, while each and every one of them were sooooo interesting!!! Without noticing, time flied and pushed us return home. It was later than 23:00 when we waved goodbye, yet I found something like rebirth that night. In the tiny coffee shop, on the lonely dark street, deep- in my heart.

Anniversary
"When is your birthday?" he asked.

The Most Terrifying Thing
Lying on my bed the night before, I suddenly saw the last scene in the Bern Station, where Chris stood on the other side of the platform waiting for his train to come, where I stood closely to the window to grab that last moment of our story till my train departed away. So afraid I was, I refused to believe that I might not see my lovely friends in KISC ever again. Also, I refused to believe that our saying goodbye that time means saying goodbye forever!

Away from Dream?
Being so busy at work and Japanese study, as well as all the other scouting and recreation schedules, it seems like I have less and less time studying English, not to mention preparing for the GradSchool application. Is this what I want?

Training Camp in the Weekend
We got fantastic, GREAT, weather ever!
However, I was too tired to fully enjoy the training, and merely tried my best on my duty courses.
Yet, I had to admit that the sunshine did inspire people and cheer them up a lot. I couldn't help having a smile on my face when it was sooooo sunny outthere! Oh~~My lovely glorious day!

My lovely Icelandic friend sent me a pair of socks, a magnet, and a postcard. Mommy read her postcard word by word, without any mistake, just like a kindergarten girl reading a book carefully. That was also lovely. :)

Ben in the Dream
I dreamed of him last night. He called to say Happy Birthday, in awkward Chinese. Haha. Apparently it was a dream.
His "showing up" was really weird, for he's been in merely my memory for such a long time. However, did it reveal that I actually miss him a lot? To an extent that I didn't realize, but subconsciously knew? I got no clue....
I could hardly tell his voice through the phone in the dream. Soon, I'll forget it completely I guess.
Yeah, it's true. Those happened in KISC were dreams.

Happy Birthday to ME~
Oh yes! I turn into 23! Cheers~~~
Just as usual, I didn't get huge tons of greetings today. However, I got several important ones this time, and guess what? They are from all around the world!
Pedro, the Brazilian, sang me "Happy Birthday" song in Portuguese few days ago. Although it was me who asked for this favor, his energetic voice still made me happy. He further introduced me some typical cheers they would make after the song. They sounds truly interesting.
Julia, the German ex-Pinky, gave me her greetings through MSN. I guess she waited long before I logged in MSN again this morning. I was surprised that she remember!
Andrea, the Swiss ex-Pinky, sent an Email to say Happy Birthday. Her warmth still moved me, and her mail reminded of the happy golden days in KISC, in Kandersteg, and in Swiss again and again, and again.....
Ali, the British ex-Pinky, truly to my surprise, sent an E-card as well. After doing some analysis, hmmm, it's her PR instinct that makes her do so (haha) Anyways, I'm still grateful for that card.
MinJae, the South Korean scout from Busan, gave me a slight happy birthday after requiring. Currently serving in the army, it was never easy to meet him online. Though a little bit cheeky, I was anyways quite lucky!
Isabel, my best mate having holidays in the USA, sent me an SMS and said, "I was quite poor lately, so I don't have NT10 to buy you a B-D card, niether do I have NT5 to buy a stamp. Yet, I at least got NT3 to send you an SMS to tell you 'Happy Birthday!' " hahahaha~ I think she succeeded to save money, to excuse herself, and to please me simultaneously.
Nevertheless, Isabel couldn't beat Mr. Tobias, my other scout friend here in Taipei. His SMS read, "A-Lo~Happy Birthday for a hundred times! Wish you the best luck this year on your work and everything. Also, please find someone you like ASAP, since I've started to save a wedding red envelope for you. Please don't make me save for too long; otherwise, I'm afraid that I'll bankrupt soon~~~If you're lucky enough to have a baby within 3 yrs, I'll give him/her another gold lock(traditional gift for babies)! Anyways, Happy B-Day!!" I laughed hard with tears after getting this. What a creative greeting!
Calvin, another scout friend also sent me an SMS. All my families took me out for a feast in ShenKeng. Jeez, I'm quite satisfied at all these!

Traditional Chinese Breakfast
I came back to Pingtung, my hometown in southern Taiwan, for the Chinese New year. And I would like to introduce everybody the most traditional way to live our life. First of all, the breakfast.
On the right top is the staple- rice porridge, and my aunt even added some minced sweet potatoes (the yellow stuff) inside, which was also a popular way to have the rice porridge.
On the right below is the fried pork flakes. We've got various fried meet flakes, among them is my favorite- fried fish flakes from my hometown. The one here is still special, it's vegetarian.
On the left top is some minced meet, but the one we have here is again vegetarian.
As for the last plate, we have the pickled cucumbers which is at the same time salty and sweet.
The way we eat them is to mix them together, so that when we have a bite, we can try everything simultaneously. Some other materials we may use include some peanuts, wheat glutens, salty eggs, and so on.

Wearing the Gift I Gave Him
He is the Brazilian, Pedro, and the picture is taken recently in Rio de Janeiro. He went their to visit some relatives.Why do I put this picture here? Because one little thing he did moved me a lot. Ladies and gentlemen, the little pot he wore on the neck is his birthday present from me almost 3 years ago. AND HE STILL WEARS IT, TILL NOW! He sent me several pictures simultaneously, and most of the time, he showed up with that little pot.....
Another inspiration he had given me was a foreign slang: "querer e poder," Portuguese. It was hard to translate, but according to him, it meant like "It's not a matter of can or can't, but a matter of do or not to do." The slang popped up when I told him that I wish to visit him now, but I can't........
