SSSSU SHI!

Mom, Dad, and I went to Carrefour tonight, and we chose SUSHI Express 爭鮮 to be our dinner. NT 30 per dish, quite fair and acceptable, we three had 17 of them. Mom and I was choked by Wasabi a few times on our nose, but it was cool to us! I know some of you just cannot understand why, but unless you try it once, you'll never know!!!

When I was full, I started to look around and to take silly pics. On the left, ladies and gentlemen, was the king of tonight- Mr. Arthur Chen! He ate all these you see! hahahahahahaha~

Ohohoh wait, I guessed someone disagreed with my report, she jumped in and asked me to correct my report: oh well, ladies and gentlemen, Madem Chin-Yu Hung was truly the queen of tonight~ All these, yeah you're right, 17 of them, were finished by her, and apparently she felt just fine. See, she's still drinking some tea and relaxing~

Dearest friends, no matter how silly you think this article is, at least I would like you to know one thing- I'm the luckiest girl in the world, because I have a great family here! :)

Maintain the Website/Blog

Recently I got problem maintaining our Official Website of GASC. When people left their complains/suggestions in the forum, it was natural for them to think that "surely I should get some response soon," and they especially expected the key persons (people in charge, mostly the "bosses") to give them the official answers. I understood their concerns fully, but these incidents sparked me to think about "the real method to keep a/the website/blog running." So free and liberal our society is, is it truly matter that all the requests should be dealt with, and all the complains be taken into consideration seriously?

I was the kind of people who embraced the efficiency of ICT(Information Communication Technology) much; yet by the recent experieces, deeply I knew it was somehow incorrect. First, not everyone can catch up with the pace, and it was not correct to force them to do so. Comparatively, the elders would never meet the youths' standard. Some elders, like Mr. Lee, have tried their best, but since new softwares and new skills evolve so quick, quite possibly that they will still be left behind. Additionally, ICT is something too new that does not belong to their original living and working style, if they remain execute their mission well, just in a slower way though, they should not be blamed harshly- not to mention that their eagerness and passion to solve problems we've encountered were by no means less. Besides elders, so many people are not allowed, or incapable of, accessing Internet so frequently due to their environment or background limitations- they may be willing to, but they just can't. How can we blame them on their less active response?

Further, supposing to use the ICT is never a problem to everyone, people can- using their free will- choose not to use it, and prefer their "old-fashioned" ways instead. "We need time to think this over and then make proper decision." Mr. Lee told me once, "no one can stand any rough explanations on this big issue, don't you think?" Thus, when people raised big issues in our forum, my boss(es) mostly prefered to postpone the reply and to give thorough answers later when needed, and these issues sometimes inspired them to come up with a brand new general project/plan later on. To me, I valued this kind effects then get a fast but vague response. What's more, in a rapid world with enormous information flow every passing second, I can fully understand people's info-phobia. If listening to their heart and staying away from ICT are their choice, and thus this group of people are questioned to be out-of-date or not cooperative, it is not fair, or even a discrimination, to them.

Back to the comments, if all comments are constructive and influential, to give them proper response should be our least duty. But, is it so? Freedom of speech has been misused for centries, and we all knew it. Most of the time, people cannot wait to criticize and to attack others even when they got merely the biased "truth." Ironically almost every time, the public tent to believe those sayings, which worsen the situation. The authority, however, either has no time to clarify itself clause by clause, or has no right to give responses to all criticisms when the real causes of problems were due to failure of division(s)/department(s) but not the HQ, and thus, again, this made thing terribly bad....

At the same time, sectionalism made the HQ or other departments become "trouble maker(s)," which was not necessarily true, but all posts online- unilateral communication- often broadened people's conception gap but not narrowed it down. Why not use less time to type and save more time to talk in person? Why use the ambiguous way to express your feelings and to expect others' response through virtual world? If it is soooo important, and you're eager to know the answer immediatedly, why not call? Why not make an appointment? Why not use your full name and full title to stand before the person in charge, pointing at them with your finger, telling them how terrible they've done their job, instead of discrediting people in behind, and bullying the fundamental staffs who were mostly incapable of shouldering the blame?

Nearly am I a perfectionist, but I won't torture myself on these this time. Luckily that I've got some support to stay cool. Ala......I'll go through it, hopefully!

Something about the Guide Dog

In brief, please don't treat them like normal dog:
  • don't go and touch them, pat them unless you got the owner's permission,
  • don't play tricks with them,
  • don't feed them normal human food,
  • don't make sounds to attract their attention,
  • don't let your pet (especially dog of course) get too close to them and distract them
Why so? All these above may cause danger to their blind owner, because the guide dog would be too relax and forgot their duty to protect their owner!

Express

my feelings, your feelings;
your complain, my complain;
To express is never a bad thing, people just need to beware of the possible, unpredictable side effect.
All I need, as always the case, is a walk, a glass of water, a moment to take a deep breath.
How about you?

Some great sleep will do, I guess.
Night Night! :)

Hometown, A Very Quick Visit

I went back with Mom and Dad for the Fathers' Day. From night of 7th, we drove south and arrived home Taipei again at night of 9th. Jeez, that was truly quick, wasn't it? However, it was a pleasant trip.

For so many years, I've never been to TungKang, PingTung during summer. I was a busy student during summer vacation, but ironically when I became an OL without vacations, I asked for a leave to go back home celebrating Fathers' Day with Grandpa this time. It turned out great! Relatives were surprised and happy to see me there, and they were astonished by my "hot" summer dress :P
My aunt: "Wow! Wendy, this is the first time for us to know that your style is so hot!"
Me : "Come on, aunty. You saw me mostly in winter, how can you know my summer style then?"
hahahaha~

Nothing much have I done there, besides relaxing, talking and having fun with my relatives. Talking to grandma, helping her prepare materials for the Hungry Ghost Festival, which happened to be at the same date with Fathers's Day this year, made me feel happy as well. Frankly, grandma and I lost our ever tightest connection since I came to Taipei living with my parents, away from her eyesight which didn't resemble my first two and a half years spending with her, so that we shared fewer and fewer topics to talk about; I felt sorry and uncomfortable about that, yet I didn't know what to do positively. All that I knew was to keep her company when I was told to, and tried to be the best grand daughter ever all the time. Additionally, never let go the chances to say sweet words to her: "A-Ma! Your rice dumplings are the best in the world!" "A-Ma! I miss you sooooo much! Take care of yourself for me, because I care!" etc. Saying goodbye to her this time actually made me feel down again. How could it be easy to leave the greatest traditional mother model in my mind?

I'm back to Taipei, nevertheless. Any emotions toward hometown need go down....Because the wheel of live is still rolling, isn't it?

Brief Talk with Craig

Met him on MSN by accident. We've not seen each other for quite a long time.
Normally sent regards to him, and simultaneously I got a beep from Isabel.

"My friend just came back from the concert of APAY, and she was crushed on 'you know who'." said Isabel.
"Guess what? I'm talking with 'you know who' right now on MSN," replied I, "I'm sooooo priviledged, are not I?"
Short after that, I was bombarded with Qs from that fan to Craig. It was fun anyways, to know someone crazily desperately would like to know your "normal" friend's every single thing.

APAY is a rock band that about to publish their first album, and he've stayed so busy recently- would only be worse later. So that I asked him whether they'll be on TV programmes, radios, or any similar occasions.
"Yes. Yes. Yes." replied Craig. "We'll have a press conference for the new album actually." Sounds so cool!
What's more, I told him about my little-girl-fantasy about him, which he'll become a star (of any possible kind) and I pointed at him on TV or from distance to tell people around me "I know this guy! I know this guy! We've been so close to each other." while nearly no one believed me, but only I myself know it was very true.

Now he is quite famous, and definately will become more and more popular in the future.
I'm sooooo privileged to have his mobile number, his MSN, his friendship, and even his homeland phone number. When I told him so, he responsed with something very encouraging and moving: "And I adore you. (While others treat him as a super idol, I AM, his idol!!!)"

Nothing else could be complained. :)

忙的半死,卻完全只能靠自己;

Seif's First Ice Skating!

He did good, and improved fast~~~ Most importantly, he enjoyed quite a lot!!

We had qtite some people came join us last night, and that was the reason why we had a even better, exciting night. Yuki and Chi-Chi came as well! That was out of my expectation! Not to mention Zoye's sudden involve~ They let me wonder if Seif, the handsome little boy, or I was their motivation to come, haha!

Zoye was such a nice girl that she tried hard to make friend with Seif, and to help him learn. Thus I could sometimes go for my speeding skating without worries. Although it's not really good to say so, yet for me, to stay with the group did no good to my speeding desire. Maybe some little boy may beat me later, but for their current status.... Let's wait and see!!

BTW, from the photo on the right, Zoye still had fun when keeping Seif company. (hehehe) He almost fell once, and Zoye happened to be(?) beside him, so as to earn(?!) a quick hug "by accident. Hmmm. By Accident!! ( Who believed in Zoye?)

Anyways, since all of us had a great time last night, we won't blame Zoye for her "keeping an eye on handsome boys rather than on friends." How do you think? This following picture was taken on the rest aisle: each and everyone of us were wearing helmet and ice skating shoes. Cool! TEN OF US!!

Let's ROCK!

Seif and I went for rock climbing tonight together, along with Daniel- his cousin- Zoye, Pig, ZhenZien, and ChiYu. It was a great fun!

The climbing centre required people to have a licence to certify their ability to secure themselves and partners; otherwise, when they came to the centre, they have to be supervised by either someone holding the licence or the couch(es) that day. I've passed the test months ago, and thus I became the "supervisor" (or you could call me the "babysitter") of that night, for 2 pure beginners and 4 would-be licence holder. Wow! That's a record~ SIX lives relied on me~

We got more companies than expected, the centre was PACKED. I left four of them to do the practice themselves, and stuck myself to help Seif and Daniel. Step by step, I first let them try freely to climb in their own ways, and increasingly taught them hints about climbing. I thought they had fun on the walls, and sometimes they would come up with certain meaningful questions. Yet I would say, they were not bold enough to try and challenge themselves. Maybe it was just their first time, or maybe they were conservative in nature. I still believed as young as they both are, 18, they should have done something that surprised me A LOT.

Anyways, these two young boy did well, so did my lovely scout friends. They all passed the test and got two kinds of licence: one for GriGri, the other for Pig Nose.

It was a victory!!! :D

Mt. Hohuan

I left my heart there, ohoh...

We've completed the East Peak- 3421M; the Main Peak 3416M.
And we've 3/4 finished the North Peak due to the unstable misty and rainy weather.

Faint, for the beauty of Nature.
Touched, also because of our precious courage and friendship...

Tea Time with Seif & Aouiti Rim

Hey Hey Hey! See who's here? My Tunisian friends Aouiti Rim and Seif!!!! We had a walk in MaoKong and had dinner at a tea house this evening. Did we have fun? You may see from our smile!!

We two youngsters (I insist!) had great time appreciating my pics in Swiss, and Seif was quite interested in our outdoor experiences over there. For this, I showed him the pics of indoor rock climbing, the hiking to Fruendenhuette and Bluemlisaphuette, and the Klettersteig. Also for his interest, I told him that I may bring him to YF17 sometime if he'd like to. Although he didn't really answer me with a Yes or No, I guess he'll be glad to show up when I invite him.

For the elders, (haha!) they had fun exchanging the ideas about living, especially our differences (between Tunisia&Taiwan). Since Aouiti Rim moved to Tunisia 18 years ago and is still a Taiwanese, she is the best person to answer my curious mom about everything she'd like to know. In return, my mom and dad gave her quite some updates about all the changes and how can those change to the status quo. When the topic came to the education part, which is always the case, yeah....you know my mom, she's a primary school principal. Who can beat her on those issues?

Also quite an interesting thing was that when Seif was short of his Chinese vocabularies, he turned to ask Aouiti Rim in Arabic, which sounded foreign especially to my mom. So, Seif was asked to give us a show- of speaking Arabic on anything. Mom was truly entertained....She kept imitating some sounds of his speech and laughed hard, as well as expressed how particular to hear that language sounded. Anyways, I guessed Mom enjoyed the meeting with this little handsome boy, too!

Before we left, we strongly recommended the owner of the tea house to put up a huge world map somewhere, and kept record of their guest nationalities. That would be quite amazing and astonishing somehow! And if they had also a record on the customers who brought the foreign visitors here, I believe my family will show up so often! It's true! As far as I can remember, we brought friends from at least Japan, Singapore, Canada, and Tunisia!

It was a great night! It was~ :D

The Real Date Line

On one side is the staring night; On the other is the shining day time.
What else can be more amazing than this?

The places in this photo include the west side of Africa, Europe, and Iceland.

Phone Call from Aouiti Rim!

Yesterday, Aouiti called me on my mobile, which is a great surprise! haha~~
She's the tour guide when we went to Tunisia last year, and she brought her son back here to visit relatives and friends this summer. We've expected her for quite some while, but when they've finally arrived, HEY! IT IS STILL SOOOO FANTASTIC!!

"Hsiao-Wen, I'm Aouiti Rim." On hearing her voice I recognized her immediately. That's who saved me last September from the greatest disaster I've ever encounter, she was also the person who showed certain kind of motherhood and warmth for me that time. Additionally, all her family there were so kind to me and inspired me this way or that. By spending the last two days with them, I had the chance to experience the real Tunisia, but not only the kind we saw from the guide book or heard from the tourguide.

True Tunisia, True Life, True People.

I'm looking forward to see them tomorrow afternoon. Aouiti Rim and Seif!

Soon After You Leave

I cried. Can't help it.

Besides Mom and Dad, who can take care of me so carefully?
Who can treat me like I'm a little princess?
Who can stand for my doing things at will selfishly, and who can bear my not caring about others' feelings at all?

Don't I, care about you?

I'm sorry, for being soooooo selfish and so self-centered.
I'm sorry.....

My Real Press Release

Yes, definately real one~ Is not bad, and is quite a good successful example of group power :)

Four bidders worked together to share the expenses and the tasks to do. We competed, and we cooperated. I learned quite much throughout the process, including how to prepare the material to catch the audience and especially the Media's attention. What's more, I leart to negotiate with the logo/dm designer, the government representatives, and most basically- my colleagues and even bosses.

One very important idea I got from this experience was: Always be creative! and Always stay Positive toward my "mission impossible." Also, we always need to take extra efforts to establish and to maintain relationships. Journalists won't come if our topic itself is not controversial/exciting enough, not to mention if our tie between one another is mostly weak(or don't even exist >"<).

Yeah, quite a lot to learn ahead!!

Miroslav Klose Interview

SO FUNNY!
Don't worry if you don't understand German, nor do I!
But please enjoy the "Uh....Uh...." "Aber Uh.... Unter Uh..."

hahahaha

Curt @ KISC!!!

"I arrived!!!"
See how happy he was :)
We had a quick talk early this "morning" when it's 6 something there. He told us that he had a nose bleed on the plane and didn't sleep well, so he gave up to visit Zurich but chose to go to Kandersteg directly. Still fine~ He got 3 months to fool around there anyways!

They had a beer night last night, haha! Typical! And he, as my great brother, has given my letters to several of the people there, including Mark, Ben, Andreas, and Fie. He'll keep distributing them later~ What's more, Fie actually came to him first to say hello. "She's really staying in the kitchen!" Kuan-Ting said. "Then it's good! When you would like to cook them something Taiwanese, you know who to ask for materials and help!"

"Sis, I told them that the 'amount' of English I've heard of for the past few hours surpasses that I've heard of for the past 20 years, and they laughed~"
I could easily imagine :) That's truly my Bro's situation, and that's also the reason why I push him so hard to challenge himself there. Where's the better place to use the language to "live" and "learn" and "have fun"? By hearing him say so, I've known that he'll doing fine~ Also have I known that he's got people's attention and heart somehow.

He also told me that when he was doing the self-introduction, he made fun of himself and said "I guess I'm the shortest boy in this team, and thus it won't be too hard for you guys to recognize me~" See how smart he was! And how humorous he was! He's jus my good boy~~~~:D

Dear Kuan-Ting, please enjoy fully for yourself and for me.
Dear all my good friends in KISC, please take care of him and enjoy this season as much as possible, and please show him your wisdom, your courage, your responsibility, and your careness to him.
Also, please, my good friends in KISC,
cherish him as if you cherished me;
cherish him as if you are cherishing me.
I've lost something that I may not get it back there in KISC, maybe never.
Desperatly whatsoever, I've prayed so hard to keep that with me, forever and ever....

Truly, I miss home in KISC.
Miss home so much, so much, soooooo much.....

Again? The Only Female?

It looked like that I'll be the only girl heading to the Mt. Ho-whan on 30 June-2 July...

What's up? Where's the other girls??
I'm still the only one who enjoys challenge and risky activities?
(Oh well, maybe not challenging at all, but by some people's definition......)
Sigh......

11 Letters

carry numerous greetings and missings.

20:10 tonight, 16 June, Kuan-Ting my brother will fly away to KISC, my permanent hometown in Swiss and start his exciting new life-turning challenge there. Besides helping him prepare his luggage, I suddenly thought of asking him to bring something there for me, to show my concern toward people, as well as letting them know I truly treasured my life there.

I didn't plan to write too much to too many people, but it ended up to be 11 letters filled with my flowing words and missings. If not that I'm so tired now, I will keep writing to some more persons that I didn't really mean to neglect....

See, KISC DO MEAN SOMETHING TO ME....

Oh, I still wonna be packed inside Kuan-Ting's suitcase, and be brought there.....

I Want My Mommy

Back, to normal.
To be the lovely person I know,
To be the energetic person I know.

Tears come to me so often recently, especially at nights.
As weak as I am, that is just the case.

Ask me to grow up? Why this way?
May I refuse to do so?

Mommy, come back to your baby, ok?

Be Tolerate

to me even if
-I'm worried about my mom and have no mood to talk at all.
-I'm selfish and childish, and forget that you're also the person who needs company.
-I have to wake up so early and still request for morning calls.
-I disturb you so late at night, thus you cannot sleep tight.

Thank you so much, Philip. Thank you for being so nice to me.

http://npo.url.com.tw/lee/

《 1 》

Reach the Top!

I went indoor rock climbing again in the Youth Centre downtown Taipei, and broke my personal record~~ (fireworks~)

I reached one of the top of the walls, had 5m left for another one, and stopped at a overhand part that was over 8m in height- BAREFEET.
You're right, I didn't wear the climbing shoes and I made them!
Should be proud of myself :D

And, it's also quite great to know Mark and David, friends of Rebecca. They're good guys, and helped quite a lot as precursors. Hope to meet them all again next Thursday~~

Rice Dumpling..ohoh! Dragon Boat Festival!

Today is the 5th May on lunar calendar, which is one of the three very important holidays of Chinese people: The Dragon Boat Festival. Along with the Chinese New Year, the Mid-Autumn Festival, the Dragon Boat Festival is traditionally a holiday that family members should gather together to celebrate it.

The tradition has changed a bit, however, but several rituals were kept still. Among them, rice dumpling, dragon boat race, and egg stand remain.

People still wrap rice dumplings, which use glutinous rice, egg yolk, Chinese mushrooms, pork, and so on as contents, as well as mainly bamboo leaves as covers and hemp string to tight them up. When ready, we steam them with bamboo steamers to make it full of natural fragrance; taste it with soybean sauce, chily sauce, or ketchup.

The BEST rice dumplings ever are those made by my grandma, and I used to look for it every year. Don't know if this time I'll so lucky again~

As for the dragon boat race, it could be better explained by telling you a brief story of a famous Chinese poet- Chu Yuan. He is also a statesman of his time, Warring States Period. He has tried hard to admonish his emperor to practice certain policy, in vain, so he committed suicide, drowning himself into the river, to show his deepest objection. Upon the time when people of Chu knew this, they tossed rice dumplings into the river to avoid the fish eating his body; they rowed the boat to search his body, and try to frighten the fish away. Descend from this action, Chinese people developed the dragon boat afterwards, and held the race in memory of Chu Yuan.

Nowadays, the Taipei City Government holds the race annualy. The major, YingJio Ma, even leads his colleagues to form a team every time. Some other counties, like YiLan, hold similar but international challenge race. Those are also hit!

Lastly, the egg stand. The magic of Nature makes the noon of today the best time to have an egg stand upright on a flat surface. It has been a game expected and loved by kids for centuries. Public/private sectors usually plan a certain campaign like "1,000 People with 1,000 Standing Eggs" to celebrate this moment.

Hmmmm, what's the festival for me now?
I'm glad that I earn a good day rest without work :D

soSOsoSOsoSO in Love~

"Leaving on the Jetplane" I FINALLY Found It!!!

I love this song sooooo much while staying in KISC, but I failed to know its name and thus never have the chance to listen to it again after coming back home. On the closing ceremony of the symposium, several delegates accidently started to sing the song. JEEZ!!!! I finally got its name!!! And, what follows is the lyrics:
*****************************************
Leaving on the Jetplane- by John Denver
All my bags are packed
I'm ready to go
I'm standing here outside your door
I hate to wake you up to say goodbye
But the dawn is breaking it's early morning
The taxi is waiting, he is blowing his horn
Already I'm so lonesome, I could cry

So kiss me and smile for me
Tell me that you 'll wait for me
Hold me like you never let me go
I'm leaving on a jetplane
Don't know when I'll be back again
Oh babe, I hate to go

There are so many times I've let you down
So many times I've played around
I tell you now they don't mean a thing.
Every place I go I think of you
Every song I sing I sing for you
When I come back, I'll bring your wedding ring

So kiss me and wait for me
Tell me that you'll wait for me
Hold me like you never let me go
'Cause I'm leaving on a jetplane
Don't know when I'll be back again
Oh babe, I hate to go

Now the time has come to leave you
One more time let me kiss you
And close your eyes and I'll be on my way
Dream about the days to come
When I won't have to leave along
About the time I won't have to say

So kiss me and wait for me
Tell me that you'll wait for me
Hold me like you never let me go
I'm leaving on a jetplane
Don't know when I'll be back again
Oh babe, I hate to go

I'm leaving on a jetplane
Don't know when I'll be back again
Oh babe, I hate to go.....

Serious Decision

Let's try cross the border line!
Be aware, my future!

Good Song-不換-by 萬芳

http://Orz.net/laljz

Red Theatre

I went to Red Theatre for a traditional Chinese show 29th of April with Mom, Dad, Ms. Ni, and a Chi-Lan in my mom's school. It's my first time to step inside, and I was regretful for the terrible mistake I made- I should go there far earlier!!! Red Theatre is a place full of historical fragrance, and the crew have run it in a delicate way, which made it sparkled amazingly.

When we just arrived, we took several pictures outside the building, and those are funny. One among them was Chi-Lan and I did her typical pose when felt embarrassed simultaneously. I guessed that was the one helped shorten our distance. The folowing one is more normal, but it was a pity that she closed her eyes XD ....Ohwell, our purpose to go there was to see a show, remember? It's called: "Big Bowls of Tea in Taipei台北大碗兒茶," and combined series of traditional Chinese theatres in a show, including Chinese Comic Dialogue, Tongue Twister, Bamboo Clapper Dialogue, and Plum Blossom Style Drum Song. From childhood, my brother and I have loved the Chinese Comic Dialogue so much. We listened to the tape of Master Lung-Hao Wei & Chao-Nan Wu again and again, and nothing could get us tired. We even remembered several tongue twisters and enjoyed to show off someitmes. So, you can picture how good I felt when accessed the amazing Chinese theatre world again :)

Hahahahaha... I laughed so hard throughout the show!!!! And I cannot help buy Pedro a CD immediately, without second thought- he's gonna love this! I'm sure!!!

Stream Tracking!!

I went to stream tracking last weekend, and suddenly found out a beautiful campus in Taipei County: Jian-An Elementary School . This school is very special, and it has rich, abundant ecological resources in the unique environment. The school teachers first introduced us the resources they have around the school, and how have them strived to maintain it, along with how have them strived to teach the kids to cherish, to get along harmonious with the Nature.

I learned quite a lot from the teachers. They not only showed us how to find the larva of Japanese Beetle, how to recognize the larva of butterfly, how to tell the differences between the butterfly and the moth(and their larva as well), what are the names and the characters of all the fragrant plants, but also instilled us the correct attitude toward the Nature.

One more special thing was, during the lunch break, they played a song sung by the children in the school, called: "We've found out A River." The river, for sure, is the one around the school, which is used as the Nature classroom, and cherished as an important, indivisible part of not only the school but also the neighberhood. All kids graduated from the school need to complete the stream tracking task, as well as another challenge to hang down from a bridge. WOW! Sounds soooo challenging!! I can easily imagine how great their memory about the school would be! Thus, I can easily understand the reason why they can compose such a gentle song with lots of love, and sing it wholeheartedly.... The first time when I heard it, I cannot stop wondering, how great would that be if my 5,6 grade classmates and I would have so great experience together..... We must cried even harder when we "are forced to" leave the school....

Although my scout friends and I enjoyed the morning, we cannot help expecting the stream tracking part much harder. We've known that due to our company: groups of 6 grade kids, we didn't have chance to challenge those exiting part of the river, yet to taste a little bit should still be good. And the truth was: the stream didn't let us down. It's so cool to step in it, with the safe vest and special shoes. Personally I love the magic shoes- how could they make us so comfortable in water without feeling disgusting when soaked all over? And it did help to facilitate our walking in the stream between the stones.

On a certain point, we joined the kids to flow down with the stream. We thought that the flow was not really strong enough to really carry us, the adults, down, and we had to do a little swim to go on. Nevertheless, we still enjoyed the feeling to wonder with the river. What's more, I guess you've known that it was impossible that we went down to the river and had no water fight at all. Are you kidding? hahaha~ Freely as you could imagine, we took great advantage of this time to let Mr. Ouyang realize "how we all love him in an open way." Believe or not, "Splash!" was the most common sound on our stream tracking trip, whether there was someone splashed, aimed at by a group of people or there was someone being pushed into the stream in a sudden, we had great fun!!

Besides those, of course, we sometimes stopped and enjoyed the natural beauty quietly. As for myself, one more thing that moved me quite much was to get together with these lovely friends in such great atmosphere again. I've not seen Johnny and Vincent for almost a year I guess, especially in such great occasion. Time and reality have separated us apart: to work or to study; to live in Taipei or to live in Taichung. We had good momories together, and we shared certain interest together. So meeting one another was like "Yesterday Oncemore!" I can't help loving this fantastic day!

Later that night, we went to appreciate the fireflies around the school, along with other nocturnal insects or animals. Our day ended short after that journey. It was not easy to forget the tiny shining lights here and there in the woods; it was NEVER easy to forget the lights on our faces when we met that date. Deeply I wish, our friendship will be as strong as the circle we formed in the stream: complete, tight, and harmonious- forever. Hey guys! You know what? I miss you so much :)

Praises!

"It's not joking, from our childhood, you're the only person in our age who I admire."

"I'm serious! In all respect, treating people or dealing with things, you're the one who I can hardly find fault with."

I was raised up, high.
The comment from a friend who I've treasured so much is astonishingly touching.

Where Did the Snow Go?

JEEZ!! We got no snow at all in Kandersteg already!!
With curiosity, I checked the Webcam of KISC and surprisingly found out that it is also spring in my lovely hometown~ Wuuuuuuuuu~~~
I wish I could see the spring scene myself, searching for Edelweiss in the grassland eagerly.
I wish to bath under the sunshine around Oeschinensee, hiding myself somewhere aside the crispy lakeshore.
Yet somehow, I prefer it in snow... Maybe that's because KISC covered by snow represents the most wonderful image of my season in Swiss.
Oh.... My lovely hometown....

Open Forum

I enjoyed it. It's like no secret between you and me.
Oh well, still some left for sure, because it's not possible to know everything in seconds.
Nevertheless, I still believe, it's been a great progress already.
It's my first time to be so frank to a person like you, who I only know for one month or so.
Even, I'll say, it's my first time to be so frank to myself....

Incredible.....

Tulip, Calla, and Lily

We started our topic from the orchid my mom brought today in Hualien, when I pronounced it wrong but you still got the correct flower. How could you do that? "Because we're soulmate. And I know you sooooo much," you replied without second thought. You also told me that it's SG's national flowerl; in return, I told you ours is the Chinese plum. "Do you like it? If not, what's your favorite flower?" WOW! What an interesting question! We proceeded this topic and moved on and on.

We all love tulips, and you guess I like the lily. However, you failed to guess one of the flowers I like most, which is normally white, has very special shape, and is famous on Mt. YangMing, TPE earlier this season- the calla. Never mind, it's ok for you to fail the guessing~ I enjoyed the process anyways! I like the game, and like the way to share dis/likes with you. Also, I enjoyed the time to find the correct English word and the perfect picture for my thought, as well as to find the things said or described by you.

Later, when I thought of another flower I love: Edelweiss(CH), we jumped our topic to movies and movie stars. Sean Connery, Tom Hanks, Sandra Bullock, & Renee Zellweger are some of your favorites, and Tom Cruis is OK for you. I like Sean Connery, Tom Hanks, & Sandra Bullock as well, but I'll say my favorite: Bread Pitt, haha!
"You're just a typical girl!" you said. I didn't deny that~ BTW, I like Meg Ryan, too.

As for our favorite movie?
"The Sound of Music! I love the music!!!!!" I almost screamed.
"The Untouchable" of yours still couldn't come into my mind since I've never seen it before, and I had no clue of the Chinese name of that film at that moment. But I got it now! :)
"Oh, and I like Meet Joe Black, Brad Pitt performed well in that one." WUUUUUU! I love this one as well! We all agreed that it's so touching in the end, and I personally loved the ending song again!
I mentioned another movie played by Whitney Houston & Danzel Washington, and it was a film about bodyguard, or priest something. I just couldn't figure out the English name, and once I even mistaken it with The Bodyguard by Whitney Houston & Kevin Costner.
Guess What? You found out the answer for me again- "The Preacher's Wife." Just a little earlier, when I mentioned about another movie which demonstrated how great did Brad Pitt perform in a casino robbery movie, you pumped up with the name "Ocean's Eleven" immediately. Hey! You read my mind!!!! :)

Tonight is so great! I love it!

I'm So Tired

Tired in mind.
Tired of what I'm doing now.

Thinking of the days with liquid sunshine, thinking of his support help a little to cheer me up,
yet I know for sure, they're not enough for me to completly get out of the low tide.

Wishing to have brand new joyfulness for every day in the first moment, even in the very early morning.
Wishing to be exited about the new challenges, and to know that once I conquer them, from the buttom of my heart, I'll be tremendously grateful and happy. Yes, willingly......

This Kind of Planning

Planning to make friend with Curt;
Planning how to interact with my mom and dad;
Planning to chat with them, to make friend with them through Skype before you're here in TW;
Planning what to do whilst your stay, including a shopping schedule with Mom and I, a relaxing dinner outside, a walk nearby or in Mt. YangMing;
and all the plannings are for the longer term goal: my visit to SG, and even more :)

I know I let you down by guaranteeing nothing, not even the visit.
Nevertheless, seeing all these came out and will be implement step by step, I cannot help wondering, "Am I dreaming? How can this guy so practical, and so capable of problem solving?"
Mostly, you love me so much.......

Valentine

~by Martina McBride~
If there were no words
No way to speak
I would still hear you
If there were no tears
No way to feel inside
I'd still feel for you
And even if the sun refuse to shine
Even if romance ran out of rhyme
You would still have my heart
Until the end of time
You're all I need
My love, my valentine
All of my life
I have been waiting for
All you give to me
You've opened my eyes
And showed me how to love unselfishly
I've dreamed of this a thousand times before
In my dreams I couldn't love you more
I will give you my heart
Until the end of time
You're all I need
My love, my valentine
And even if the sun refuse to shine
Even if romance ran out of rhyme
You would still have my heart
Until the end of time
Cus all I need
Is you, my valentine
You're all I need
My love, my valentine

Sorry to Keep You Waiting

I was so late home- around 23:50. I've told you that you don't need to wait for me, for I'd known that we must spend tons of time discussing for the Staff Training Workshop this Sunday, and definately would come home tru~ly late. Furthermore, I cannot bear to let you wait till so late, because I know that you live such a regular life, and always go to bed early.
(Pic: Water gate in Interlaken, Nov.03, 2005)

Still sent you an SMS when I finally got home, just as what I've promised you; worried but happily, I heard your voice in a very sleepy tone......>"< Dear, you really should not stay up for me....

Maybe you'll say that again: "anything for you!" Yet, I'd like to let you know one more thing as well- to cherish YOURSELF is to cherish ME. Ok? Deal?

Nevertheless, just as what Lan told me, she's very happy to know that I've been well taken care of and treasured, I feel the same way and am so soaked in happiness when you do all these for me.......

Sorry to keep you waiting, and Thank you for waiting :)

Enjoy A Movie Together

"Elf", that's the movie I saw on HBO tonight. I enjoyed it with Mom and Dad, and later found out that I could actually enjoy it with Philip as well, for it's on in SG at the same time!! What an exiting discovery! This way, from now on, we could see the same movie "together but not together" and discuss about our thoughts toward it afterwards. I love this idea~~~~

Yap, it's true, we're quite close and quite serious about our relationship. We work hard in our own world, we live earnestly with our family & friends; we plan for the future to come together, we respect each other's differences and ways of living. And, we cherish each other's dream, as well as dream our dream.....

Perhaps, we do not only enjoy the movies together, but something else :)

Take a Walk in the Neighborhood

I just came back from the walk around my neighborhood, and I went with Mom and Dad. It was a relaxing 30-minute-walk, which was quite a piece of cake for me while mom puffing a little bit hard and gratefully saying that "thanks to all the walks recently, I felt the route easier to walk today." In comparison to the hikings I did in Swiss, ohwell........ I miss the golden old days very much, again.
(Pic: On the way to Bluemlisalphuette, Oct.10, 2005)

I miss the walks that nearly took my breath away, not only by the degree of difficulty, but also by the breathtaking scenery all the way. I miss the walks that made me feel like walking in the clouds, feel like giving up at any point would be a great choice to survive, yet I might regret for the rest of my life-- So that I'd rather grit my teeth and move forward regardless how tired I was. I miss the walks that Chris would stay behind to ensure that I was still ok; I miss the walks that Julia, Andrea would be glad to give me a hand or some encouragement, saying "come on! Take a rest and you'll make it!"

I know, I know. Those days are gone.......

My feet are still strong, and I won't have much complaint like long long before, for I've gone through those challenges in Swiss. What I could do now is, just as what I must do on the way to Fruendenhuette and Bluemlisaphuette, keep stepping forward......

There's no way back......(Pic: Dawn around Fruendenhuette, early bird got incredible views! Sep.30, 2005)

Concert Night

But the concert was held inside of my house, the only audience is my Mom while I played the piano and my brother sang songs. Still, it was quite cool and enjoyable :)

Earlier this night, we went outside for a fine dinner together. The food was without doubt quite delicious, but what made tonight so relaxing and beautiful was-- CHA CHA! my lovely family members! My brother and I just couldn't help singing our favorite songs by Wong Kong-Leong, a really talented Malaysian singer, including "All of You", "The Promise", "Fairy Tale", and "Heaven." It ended up that we decided to start the mini concert after going back home!

Even till now, I could hear our voice vibrating in the alleys on our way home, also inside our living room where the piano is placed; most important of all, deep in our heart.....Mom joined us when I unconsciously started the old but elegant melody of "The Moon Represents My Heart."

If there's anything called the sound of heaven, I guess I've heard it once :)

Futher, please forward this information to all your family and friends. We do need your support to preserve the beautiful language which makes the Chinese culture alive for centuries, for generations, for FOUR THOUSAND YEARS!!

Mom, Dad, I Got A News for You

Mom acted peacefully, and listened to me in the same way. Later, she started to ask several questions. What does he do? How many years has he been working? Where did he receive education?

Why can you define your relationship as boy/girlfriends?
How did you know he is THE person, since you only got together for couple of days in Malaysia?

Some of the questions need to be answered by chemistry, but not by reason. Yet I know deeply that, it's not persuasive at all.

One more very important issue is that, once I convince myself to believe in this might I persuade my parents, and to make them feel comfortable about our relationship as well.

Can I?

The Power of International Scouting Brotherhood!!!

Teddi(IS) & Julia(DE) on MSN, Eric Khoo(MY) on Skype. Teddi asked me about some info to visit KLCC in Kuala Lumpur, and I dropped those questions that I couldn't answer to Eric. Furthermore, when they asked Eric about the recommending route toward Java, Indonesia, he came out with the advice to go through Singapore, which then, might need some support from local as well.

Jeez! How could the world become sooooo tiny and interesting??

I gave the couple Philip's mobile number, and promised them to inform Philip(SG) first tomorrow morning. When needed, he could be a great help for Teddi & Julia's "all of a sudden" visit. As for me, I really would like to know that they DO go to Singapore, meeting Philip, and even have some great chat about "Wendy" they've known. :)

So kind as Eric, he offered several numbers of friends in Indonesia to let them call when emergency. Plus, he told them how and to whom to cry for help when they're in trouble. All these make even me feel so secure, not to mention them!

WOW! How good it is to be a scout!!
How lucky I am to have these wonderful friends and to be the channel helping around~~~

He's Coming to TW

The dates have been set, 23-27 June, Fri-Tue. He's so quick, and he even has booked the flight already. "My flight'll be there around 7 PM." said Philip. How could he be so energetic?

For the first time, I'm completly spoiled, and it's never too exaggerate to say that I was so soaked by his love @\o/@ Sometimes, I can't help wondering "What's going on? What have I done? How dare I accept all these which I don't deserve at all?"

However, his dream does moved me:
Staying at a house with happy family, with cute grandchildren running about and coming occationally to say "I love you gong gong," with several dogs enjoy being patting and rubbing under the sunshine, and so on.....

Are these, the answer to happiness?

TEDDI ONLINE

in Malaysia!!!!!

Of course, Julia is on the side! What a lovely couple of Autumn 2005~~~~
Still sooooooo envious of their happiness~
It's amazing- the postcard I sent them just delivered yesterday, and I met them online today. Should I call this coincidence? Or should I say that we're connected by heart as before somehow?

One thing I know for sure, deeply- I seriously miss those lovely Pinkies a lot.

On the other hand, I could finally calmly say that Teddi and Julia's happiness no longer irritated me that much. Their world travle might, but their relationship wouldn't, for I got Philip now :)

Yes, I'm happy, I'm secure.
For- I have Philip now :)

The Night with Friendship Fragrance

Last Saturday night, I finally asked some uni girl friends out for some drinks. It's been almost a year for us to not see the others. I guess you can imagine how high we were at that time!!

For so long a time, I couln't find this kind of friend who could talk about literature, movies, music, lifes, plans, and so on together at the same time. Our topic was sooooo endless, while each and every one of them were sooooo interesting!!! Without noticing, time flied and pushed us return home. It was later than 23:00 when we waved goodbye, yet I found something like rebirth that night. In the tiny coffee shop, on the lonely dark street, deep- in my heart.

Thank you, my lovely friends.
Please accept my request to always stay beside you all.
Your words make me strong. Your intelligence make me wise.
Your love and support push me forward, regardless of how harsh life may be.
Thank you again :)

Anniversary

"When is your birthday?" he asked.
"And when is mine?" he asked, again.

After my answering those two perfectly,
"Oh well, then, what day is 16th March?" curiously he asked.

"I have no clue @.@?" I did mean it.

"It's our anniversary!" joyfully he said, even felt like dancing about.
Oh! Stunned I. Also melted....

The Giant Pillow

I got a giant purple pillow on my bed, and it provided me comfort and security throught the nights.
Recently, however, I started to wish that it is something with some more warmth....with temperature.......
